Dip Teach E.C.E | Karitane Nurse
To put healthy, holistic systems in place within families to promote safety for children and to enhance their lives and the lives of the people involved with these children.
Marie started working with our family in 2010 as I was recovering from severe postnatal depression. She cared for our two sons for three mornings each week allowing me to rest, take time for myself or attend appointments.
Marie’s presence in our household has been hugely beneficial. Our boys bonded with her very quickly and we really appreciate her gentle but firm way of dealing with them. Marie has been incredibly positive and supportive and we value her pragmatic, practical and loving approach to childcare and parenting.
When Marie started working with us we were having some behavioural issues with our 3 year old and she helped us develop a consistent and effective approach that really worked and made life a lot easier (and more pleasant) for the whole family.
We couldn’t recommend Marie highly enough to any family in need of support, advice or practical assistance.

To whom it may concern,
Marie Lyall worked as a nanny / Karitane nurse earlier this year for a period of four weeks after the birth of our first child. She was employed to help with the care of our daughter, as well as to help with everyday tasks at home that my wife was unable to perform due to limitations from surgery.
We found Marie to be very professional, kind and trustworthy. Her skills were ideal for the role that we required of her. She is a friendly, personable woman and was comfortable caring for such a young child. Although new parents can be worried about other people looking after their child, we felt very much at ease with Marie.
We would have no hestitation to re-employ Marie should the need arise. We would also recommend her services to those who may require them.
To Whom it may concern,
I am pleased to write this letter of reference on behalf of Marie Lyall who provided valued care for our three small children for six weeks.
Marie was very caring and compassionate and also encouraging and supportive in many ways, the children grew to Marie’s happy arrivals in the mornings and looked forward to playing and doing activities with her.
I would highly recommend Marie as a child carer. She has competence, kindness and total commitment to her job.
I appreciate Marie’s kindness and attention and wish her well for any further future employment.
